Joint Training

Joint Training Activities & Events

Recent requests through Emergency Management BC (EMBC) for RCMSAR Station 14 (and other marine SAR units) to provide transport to Ground SAR members have brought to the forefront a need for dedicated joint training time to ensure that both parties have a strong working knowledge of each other’s requirements, protocols, communication methods, and safety procedures.

The goal of these training exercises is to help both teams develop a flexible joint operational strategy, which will enable us to work effectively and safely together on future tasking’s requiring a coordinated response.

NOTE: Announcements regarding upcoming RCMSAR Station 14 joint training sessions will be posted in this space and on our facebook page.  Please stay tuned.

RCMSAR Station 14 Gibsons successfully conducted a simulated training session with Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue on 2021 July 18th.  The event was well attended by both teams as they carried out a number of exercises to build shared knowledge and skillsets in coordinating emergency response.  Thanks to all who participated.

THESE VOLUNTEERS ARE TRAINING TO  SAVE LIVES IN OUR COMMUNITY.
