COVID-19 RESPONSE
Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe
In order to protect our crews and people that we rescue, all RCMSAR stations have protocols in place to minimize the risk of infection from COVID-19 and other illnesses. Our current practices include the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), proper hygiene, decontamination procedures, and physical distancing whenever necessary. Crew training, SAR missions, and related support activities are conducted according to these protocols and all members of our organization adhere to current federal and provincial public health guidelines and regulations.
In support of public health, we encourage all members of the public to be fully vaccinated and to follow up with booster doses as they become available. Vaccines boost your immunity and have shown to be highly effective in preventing serious illness and death.
