BOATER SAFETY

Are You Prepared?

No one plans to get into trouble. What often makes the difference in avoiding trouble or responding to a problem is the extent to which you are prepared. Knowing the sea and weather conditions you are sailing into, what's likely coming in the next few hours, and having the necessary equipment on board when something goes wrong helps you avoid trouble and respond when it can't be avoided. No matter what, be willing to call for help. It takes time for boats, including ours, to respond, so call sooner rather than later to give responders time to help.
